Why are we such dedicated Disney fans? A lot has to do with our childhood memories. This was the "before television " age, when reading and movies were the entertainment of the day.

Movies: Dick's mother took him to see Disney's animated full length movie, Fantasia, when it first came out, and he still remembers the experience.

Books & Comics: Jackie loved to read Disney's well illustrated books.  Walt produced lots of great books and comics with classic stories illustrated as only Disney could.

The creativity and imagination is something to remember. When we were young, we looked forward to seeing Disney cartoons and full length movies at the theatre, and many of Disney's characters and stories are ingrained in our memories. We both had quite a collection of Disney books and comics. (Why didn't we keep them?)

Now we can visit Walt Disney World or Disneyland and relive many of those early memories, and form many new ones - and enjoy the imagination and creativity while we do!

Peg-Leg Pete - This gruff, catlike character soon became better known as Mickey's primary nemesis. Peg-Leg was also known as Bootleg Pete, Bad Pete, Big Bad Pete and Black Pete.

But Two Gun Mickey always held his own.
