Niki
came to live with us in 1971. Nicki was
another outdoor dog.
The first snow of the
season always made Niki hyper.

She
loved traveling and camping. Nicki was such a cool Sibe, we
decided to breed her. Finding a mate was a challenge. Niki
turned down the first few suitors.
One
of Niki's favorite places was
on a picnic table.
Niki's
first litter
Nicki
had several litters and we had a hard time letting her
offspring go.
We did keep one pup - more about that later.

you know, they grow up.
Star -
named Star
because of the facial markings
We kept Star, a husky with a very gentle
disposition, except when competing with Mom!
