The greatest challenge was finding an old cemetery in West
Virginia, the Board-Seaman Cemetery. It is in this cemetery that
Jackie's great grandparents Ira Stout Chenoweth, and Matilda McCoy
Chenoweth, are buried. It was an interesting trip down back roads
and through picturesque West Virginia valleys. We found the
cemetery and marked it with our GPS.

Also buried here is Ufa Gladys Chenoweth, who would have been Jackie's aunt.
Although the marker is in bad shape, it is still possible to
read the inscription. |
Our trip to West Virginia coincided with Memorial Day.
The cemetery at Ravenswood, on the East side of the Ohio River,
was decorated with may flags and flowers. Here many members of
Jackie's family are buried. |
